Claims must be received by the Ministry of Health within six months following the date of service.


The six months’ time limit may be extended to twelve months by the Ministry of Health if it is determined that the delay was caused by very special circumstances beyond your control. You can contact the Claims Analysis Unit by phone at 306-787-3454 or 306-787-3457, or by fax at 306-798-0582.


Claims that are returned to you with rejections should be corrected and sent back to Medical Services Branch within 30 days; this will be strictly enforced once a claim becomes 5 months old.
