Appointment types are templates that are created to automatically populate information when booking appointments. Selecting an appointment type when booking an appointment automatically displays information associated with the appointment type into the appointment booking window. 

 

Creating appointment types for appointments you book regularly can help save time when booking appointments.

 

Creating Appointment Types

Appointment types are created in the Administration Panel. To access the Administration Panel:

 

  • In the Juno UI, click on “Admin” at the top of the schedule page. The Admin tab may be hidden under the “More” option if you are using Juno with a smaller screen display, click on “More”, then click on “Admin” from the dropdown.

  • In the Classic UI, click on the "Administration" link at the top of the schedule page. 

 

In the Admin panel, click on the "Schedule Management" tab in the menu on the left, then select the "Appointment Type List" link from the dropdown; this opens the Appointment Types panel to the right.

 

Complete the fields in the "Edit Appointment Type" section.

  1. Name: your preferred name for the appointment type.

  2. The 'Reason', 'Location', 'Duration', 'Notes' and 'Resources' fields as you would like them to be displayed automatically when booking the Appointment.

  3. Click on the "Save" button to save the template.

You can Edit or Delete an "Appointment Type" using the "Edit" and "Delete" links to the right of the appointment type in the "Appointment Type List" below the "Edit Appointment Type" section.

 


Booking Appointments Using Appointment Types (Juno UI)

  1. In the Appointment booking window, Select an option from the "Appointment type" dropdown. You can add additional information if required.

  2. Fill out the Patient's name and any other details as required, then click on the "Create" button.


 

Note that selecting an appointment type does not lock in the information in the appointment booking window. Additional information can be added as needed.

 


Booking Appointments Using Appointment Types (Classic UI)

  1. In the Appointment booking window, click on the "Type" button to the right of the page (below the status field).

  2. Select the "Appointment type" from the 'Type' dropdown, then click on the "Select" button to the right. This automatically populates the 'Reason', 'Location', 'Duration', 'Notes' and 'Resources' fields with all the preset information for the Appointment type. You can add additional information if required.

  3. Fill out the Patient's name and any other details as required, then click on the "Add Appointment" button.
