A physician may work at multiple locations. The information saved in the provider record will be the default information that will appear on all the claims created using that particular provider record, unless modified. It is also possible to leave this information blank and to complete it per bill using the 'Advanced' tab or with the use of default invoices (default templates). Another alternative for faster billing is to create a provider record for each facility you work at.

 

Here are the three ways to bill if you work at more than one facility based on your clinic needs, efficiency, and workflow:


  1. If you work at multiple facilities, you can change your Facility on the ‘Advanced’ tab in the ‘Create Invoice’ section per claim.

  2. Alternatively, to save time billing, you can create a provider profile for each Facility you work at. 

    Give each of your provider profiles for each facility a different name. You can give it any name that makes sense to you so you can recognize it when billing and select the right one. The name does not get sent to the Ministry, but it does need to be unique to save into ClinicAid. Examples would be Jane Doe (Hospital), Jane Doe (Office), etc.

When billing in ‘Create Invoice’, select the correct provider profile from the drop-down list in the ‘Provider Information’ box on the right-hand side of the screen:

  1. Another option, to save time billing, is to create a ‘default invoice’ (invoice template) for each facility you work at. 

    You can do this in the “Preferences” section in the left-hand menu under “Default Invoices”on the “Advanced” tab. Set the facility (payee number, service location and/or any other information that is required, different or not in the provider record) and click Save. 

In the ‘Create Invoice’ section when billing, select the correct default invoice from the drop-down menu near the top right (see screenshot):
