Staff being designated should create their own GO Secure account first. After they validate
their email, (they will see a successful message) they must EXIT the browser.
Doctor / Group:
Log into GO Secure by keying the url https://www.edt.health.gov.on.ca directly into the address field of internet browser.
Arrive at GO Secure log in, key in GO Secure ID (email) and password to log in.
Click “Designee Maintenance” at the Administration & MOHLTC services screen.
Key in name and email address of designee, select “Save”.
Arrive at the Confirmation of Identity Screen, select “Confirm this Designation”.
If more than one designee, repeat steps 3-5.
Log out and exit the browser.
Designee:
Will receive email from GO Secure advising of the designation by doctor/group, click on url link in email.
Arrive at GO Secure log in, (designee) key in GO Secure ID (email) and password to login.
Accept designation.
Log out and exit the browser.
Final Step: Doctor:
Log back into GO Secure by keying the url https://www.edt.health.gov.on.ca into the address field of internet browser.
Click “Designee Maintenance” at the Administration and MOHLTC Services screen.
Arrive at the Designated Accounts Screen (Designee's information will appear), under “Email” field (1st field) you will see the designee’s email address, click on the designee’s email.
Arrive at the Service Delegation screen, and select Service option “MC EDT Service Upload/Download”.
Arrive at the MEDICAL CLAIMS ELECTRONIC DATA TRANSFER (MC EDT); Designate Permissions Page, and click “Select All” ensuring all are check marked or check mark required boxes/permissions.
Go to the bottom of the screen and click “SAVE”, when complete message “Saved Successfully” will appear.
